Okay, so tuning in to Fox News is never something to do to stimulate the intellect, I know this. But the stupidity of the individuals who operate and "anchor" and "host" spots on this station still never ceases to amaze me.
Last night I turned the TV on and stopped on Fox to try to figure out the illogical talking heads spouting foolishness on the reasons why we should NOT be taking such a definitive, harsh, and unfair stand against the dog murderer Michael Vick. In a nutshell, this whole show was nothing more than a game of "let's try to change the subject" and hope people will be diverted from the facts and the horror of animal abuse.
There are actually people who think "God" gave them souls, but that he did not give souls to animals. Hogwash! Excuse me, but if "God", a good and just God, by the way, created all these lifeforms that the Bible says he did then what in the WORLD makes any human think the outrageous thought that they are the only one who got souls and who get eternal life? Come on. Look, if anyone actually believes that this is the case, fine, be deluded, if that is what gets you through, but it's a fairytale and anyone who believes it is dead wrong. We all die, none of us have souls and none of us go to heaven if the animals do not. If there is a meaning of life, it is this: love and kindness and trying to make the world a better place.
The meaning of life is NOT a football game or a football player. The meaning of life is not your profits from cruelty and deception. You go to hell if you murder, okay!!!
YOU GO, EVEN IF HELL IS NOTHING MORE THAN YOUR IMAGINATION.
Vick needs to face whatever hot and fiery hell we here on earth can conjure up.
And, as far as the attorney on Fox "News" last night, no, "sir", the fact is, you can't change the subject and start babbling about what you see as a worse crime. Forget about it. Most of us are not that stupid. An atrocity is an atrocity. Let's stick to the discussion at hand.
And as for the other guest who seems to think that this is "happening to" Vick BECAUSE of his fame: Good one! IT'S NOT! The fact that he is well known and has committed a crime is a good thing in that it brings this issue to a head. If a regular person commits a crime or dies somewhere in East Overshoe, BIG SURPRISE, there is no media coverage, no huge media circus, and no media funeral. Why not?? BECAUSE THE REGULAR PERSON IS NOT FAMOUS!!!!
Good and bad comes with fame. Famous people who are good AND bad get attention. They don't get brought to trial BECAUSE they are famous. They do something BAD to deserve it. If the justice system in America is working right, they get brought to trial in spite of it!!! Yes, people ARE taking notice. Of course they are taking notice. That's just too damn bad for poor helpless victim Michael Vick!!!
Oh, sob sob, he is famous. SOR-RY!!! That is NOT the reason why he is in trouble. He in trouble because he is a complete and utter moron and a cruel, horrible murderer.
It's hard NOT to miss what famous people do. Too bad Michael. It's a bummer, huh? You're not in trouble because you're famous, you're in trouble because you SHOULD be in trouble. You're in trouble because you're a BAD person.
So get off it NAACP,Vick, and all you attorneys and special interest groups. Get off trying to save your money and your ass Michael Vick. Normal people are not sorry in the least about your plight. You put yourself there and you deserve to be treated in the same manner as the dogs you mistreated and killed! That will hopefully be their justice...your hell on earth. Justice for the souls you murdered. YOU? A VICTIM!!! Hah! Nope, cool it you minority of Vick-supporting folks, it just doesn't fly.

Chinese imports? Why? We need to end NAFTA now. Child exploitation; animal abuse --- the skinning of live cats and dogs for fur; poisons in pet food and toothpaste, lead paint in plastic toys, to name only a few Chinese horrors.
Write your Senators and Representatives. Tell them to stop the import
of foreign goods, and bring manufacturing back to America.

NIKE SUSPENDS VICK!!!
Great news everyone! Nike has suspended Vick!!!
Accoriding to the Humane Society of the United States

"Nike announced today that it has suspended Michael Vick's contract without pay and will stop selling all Vick-related products at its stores.
This is a big victory, one that simply would not have happened without your action and those of more than 165,000 others.
As you know, the allegations against Michael Vick are so serious and disturbing that The Humane Society of the United called on his corporate backers to end their commercial relationships with the star player. I’m so pleased that Nike has signaled it has a zero tolerance policy for athletes who may be involved with staged animal fights and other forms of malicious animal cruelty. Nike's statement reads as follows: "Nike has suspended Michael Vick’s contract without pay, and will not sell any more Michael Vick product at Nike owned retail at this time. As we’ve said before, Nike is concerned by the serious and highly disturbing allegations made against Michael Vick and we consider any cruelty to animals inhumane and abhorrent. However, we do believe that Michael Vick should be afforded the same due process as any citizen in the United States, therefore, we have not terminated our relationship."
Also today, Reebok agreed to stop selling Michael Vick-branded products. The company does not have a contract with Vick but has an official relationship with the NFL to sell its merchandise. "
Personal note: I hope that every one of us who has raised our voices against Nike in this fight also thanks Nike and CEO Mark Parker for making the right decision.

Animal Rights Should Have Equal Status With Human Rights
Well, basically what I find troubling is that anyone would engage in any activity that causes pain to another living being. It is simply unconscionable. Obviously, such individuals are seriously disturbed. Still, it is just amazing to me that, in addition to those who orchestrate these sick displays of abject horror and cruelty, it is also truly appalling that there are any spectators at all who would even think to choose to partake in viewing and supporting such heinous crimes as the torture and murder of innocent animals.
Our society needs a tourniquet the size of the moon to prevent the death of our souls as a result of not stopping, once and for all, these kinds of terrible crimes against animals by not legislating universal serious and harsh punishment for the mistreatment of any and all animals.
Serious reform is needed in the form of pressure brought to bear on legislators who need to consider instituting much more serious punishment for such crimes than the woefully inadequate maximum penalty consisting of incarceration of 6 years for the crime of murder.
